안녕하세요. 🙂
Hi, I’m Rin, and I live in Seoul.
Most Korea travel guides are written by people who visited for a week. This blog is different — I write about the places Koreans actually go: the barbecue spot with no English sign, the pop-up everyone in Seoul is talking about this month.
I started LocalsKorea because I kept seeing tourists eat at mediocre restaurants two doors down from amazing ones — and miss the neighborhoods where the real energy is.
This blog covers three things:
Where locals eat — honest restaurant and cafe reviews, from hole-in-the-wall spots to the places my friends and I actually line up for.
Where locals hang out — what’s trending among Koreans right now: buzzing neighborhoods like Seongsu, pop-ups, and markets you won’t find in guidebooks yet. Korea moves fast, and I’ll keep you current.
The famous places, done right — you’re going to visit Gyeongbokgung Palace and N Seoul Tower anyway, so let me help you do it well: the best time to beat the crowds, how to get there, what’s worth paying for, plus the good food nearby (the restaurants at the tourist gates usually aren’t it).
Every place here is somewhere I’ve personally been — plus the practical stuff: how to order, how to pay, which subway exit to take.

Have an amazing time in Korea, and enjoy every moment! 🙂
