Euljiro — nicknamed “hip-jiro” — is famous for cafes hidden inside old buildings, and Eulji Bin (을지빈) is one of the most atmospheric I’ve found. It’s a retro cafe in Euljiro that feels like stepping into someone’s beautifully cluttered 1970s living room: a gold tiger painting, a crystal chandelier, an old boxy TV still flickering, stacks of vintage magazines, and warm lamplight everywhere. If you want a coffee somewhere with real character rather than another minimalist café, this is the spot.
Getting there
Eulji Bin is genuinely easy to reach — one of the closest cafes to the station in the whole area.
- From Euljiro 3-ga Station (Lines 2 & 3) Exit 9: about 62m. Come out of Exit 9, turn right into the alley right there, and it’s on the 2nd floor above the Emart24 convenience store.

Hours: Tue–Mon 12:00–22:00 (last order 21:30); opens 13:00 on Saturday, and Sunday 13:00–19:00. Cards accepted. One drink per person. Note there’s no English menu, so it helps to check the menu on Naver Map before you order.
The space is the whole point
Walk up to the second floor and through a dim, frosted-glass door, and you’re somewhere else entirely. The room is large but low-lit, full of long wooden tables and a magpie’s collection of vintage objects.
A big crystal chandelier hangs over the tables, next to a stained-glass pendant lamp — the kind of mismatched, maximalist lighting that somehow works.
The details are what make it. A gold-leaf tiger painting presides over a shelf of old liquor bottles.
In one corner, a working CRT television sits on stacks of old magazines under a warm lampshade — pure retro.
By the window there’s a vintage pendulum clock, an old turntable, a “Vogue 1920” print and a Tiffany-style lamp; the neon signs of Euljiro glow faintly through the curtains behind.
Even the smaller lamps are lovely — hand-painted glass shades casting a soft amber light. It’s the kind of place where every corner is a photo.
What to drink
The menu covers coffee, milk drinks, teas and a row of soda-based “other drinks.” Prices are gentle — coffee runs around ₩5,000–6,800, milk drinks and tea around ₩6,000–6,500, and the fruit sodas (grapefruit black, lime mojito, midnight cherry, gold-fruits) about ₩7,000 each.
I went for the sweet cacao (a rich chocolate milk drink topped with cream, ₩6,500) and the gold-fruits soda (a blend of orange, mango and passionfruit, ₩7,000). Both suited the mood — one cozy, one bright — and looked right at home in the warm lamplight.

Eulji Bin is the kind of place that makes Euljiro special — a warm, lamp-lit room packed with vintage treasures, a coffee that costs less than you’d expect, and a view of the neighborhood’s neon through lace curtains.
